Social Distancing With TeleHealth Services

Here at Hearing Associates of Las Vegas, we believe strongly in the personal touch, especially as hearing loss is often a sensitive matter. However, as COVID-19 continues to be a concern for our patients and staff, we want to ensure that our patients are aware of all their options when it comes to their hearing health care. One of the hearing services options we offer to our patients is telehealth hearing services. With these remote hearing services, we can better protect our patients, staff, and community by practicing social distancing while still giving you the hearing help you need.

What Are Telehealth Hearing Services

If you haven’t heard of telehealth hearing services, you are in for a treat! Instead of needing to come into our hearing clinics for various hearing services, you can receive our services remotely. Thanks to modern technology, we are able to make appointments with our patients over Skype, allowing you to receive quality hearing services no matter where you are, as long as you have internet access and a web-enabled camera—i.e., smartphone, laptop with a built-in camera, webcam on desktop, etc.

As for Hearing Associates of Las Vegas, we offer these telepractice hearing service:

  1. Hearing aid troubleshooting: If your hearing aids are acting up and you aren’t sure how to fix them, you can contact us for remote assistance. We will set up a video session and help walk you through possible solutions until we get your hearing aids up and running.
  2. Remote hearing aid programming: Some hearing aids come with the ability to be remotely updated by our hearing aid specialists. Instead of needing to come into our office to have your hearing aids reprogrammed or the software updated, we can send those updates to your hearing aids. Not all hearing aids are able to do this remote programming, and if you are unsure if yours are eligible, you can always call us and ask!

For new patients who are looking for hearing testing, that requires in-person service, as our hearing instrument specialists use specialized equipment to check your hearing. You can take our quick hearing quiz to see if you should book a hearing evaluation.

Minimize Travel, Exposure, And Enjoy Hearing Aids Care

So, why would you opt for telehealth hearing services versus coming into one of our hearing clinics in Las Vegas? Well, at this time, COVID-19 is a serious concern, and minimizing contact with others through social distancing is essential to slow the spread of the virus.

However, coronavirus isn’t the only communicable disease. Being able to receive hearing services remotely during the regular flu season, or if you are immunocompromised, is an excellent way to protect your health while taking care of your hearing.

Along with lowering your health risks, opting for telepractice hearing services can cut down on travel time. Whether you just don’t want to brave rush hour traffic or you live in a town outside of Las Vegas, you can skip the time in your car and work with our hearing health care professionals remotely.

At this time, we are maintaining our regular office hours. However, we are spacing out our appointment to help provide appropriate social distancing, as well as disinfecting our office after each appointment. We do hope that our existing patients will utilize our telehealth service to help protect themselves and our staff from the spread of the novel coronavirus.

If you do need to see us in person, please contact us to schedule an appointment. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, we do ask for patience as we work to develop the safest appointment schedule, as we want to avoid crowding and leave time for disinfecting our clinics.
